CHRISTMAS IN NORTH CAROLINA

Well this is a bit embarrassing... a Christmas post almost a month late!  December came and went so quickly and I lost blog motivation by the end.  Sorry!  Here are pictures of our Christmas... quick version... not too much explaining... but enjoy nonetheless!

All of our Christmas baking for our neighbors and some of Dave's co-workers...

Our meringues this year were lovingly dubbed by Dave as "snowmen poop."  Yeah, they were a literal flop but they tasted great!  Maaike helped us package some of the boxes and she kept referring to them totally seriously as "the poops."  It was funny every time!

Cory got the kids Jets t-shirts for Christmas, Lainie had hers, and Dave bought me one.  So naturally, as Cory so well knows, we have to do photo shoots!

Maaike and I changed into our Giants gear for some more pictures!

Getting cookies ready for Santa!

Lainie and I were really excited that Santa came!

A big thumbs up from Ben!

Just like last year, Maaike was a little scared about the thought of Santa coming in our house!  So she was a bit hesitant to walk into the living room!

Opening our stockings took a long time!  We drew it out for awhile as we waited for Mom to get Oma.  The kids were great and had fun!

Our NC Christmas was complete with a yule log!

We LOVED having Aunt Lainie join us for the festivities!

Here's Oma modeling the gloves and scarf she got from Lainie!

A singing dog for Lexi... the hit of her Christmas!

JoonJoon got the kids riding toys!  A Skoooch for Ben...

...and a plasmacar for Maaike and another riding toy for Lexi!

Lainie couldn't let Maaike have all the fun so she took a stab at the plasmacar!

We even brought Oma outside to use Ben's new stomp rocket.  It was hilarious!  She made those rockets fly though!

Apparently I stopped at the turkey!  Oh well!  It was a great day!
