AUNT LAURELYN'S VISIT

A few weeks ago (yes... still catching up on pictures!), Aunt Laurelyn came to spend some time with us before embarking on her next venture... Minneapolis! Today she starts her new job with YouthWorks and, although we will miss her greatly, we are so excited for her opportunity to serve in this ministry!
We had a wonderful visit, as always! We went to the aquarium...
... saw an albino alligator...

... some great fish...

... and sea horses!

We tried to get a picture of Laurelyn with the kids but that definitely was not happening!

So we just got a picture with the most cooperative (and sleepy) member of the group!

We tried one more time before we left as we got bitten up and huge storm clouds moved in. You wouldn't know it from the picture but within 2 minutes of this picture... rain was pouring down!

We had ribs one evening and they were yummy! Thanks to our friend, Cindy, Dave has now learned how to cook ribs at home that are delicious! The kids love them, too!

I LOVE Maaike's expression! I'm not quite sure what tidbit of wisdom Laurelyn was sharing but it must have been very interesting!

"We love eating with our hands!"

Poor Lexi.... could only watch everyone enjoy their dinner. Don't worry, little one, soon enough you'll be gnawing on your own bone!

Great fun! I'd like that ribs lesson! Do you think its time to update the "About Me" section to include Lexie? Just a thought!

1. Thank you Carol. I have been telling Melissa to do this pretty much since Lexi was born.

2. LOVE the pictures Melouise! I can't even handle how cute Maaike is with those pigtails. Miss my kiddies and sister as always !
