Aunt Carol and Uncle Peter were staying in a carriage house that also had this sweet playground that the kids were allowed to visit! So one morning, we took a ride over to let them get some much needed energy out! They really enjoyed it!
When we left, I made Aunt Laurelyn take this adorable picture of 2 little Amish girls... which is ok since it's not of their faces :) We felt a little bad but it's really ok!
From the playground, we headed over to the pool at Great Grandmom's place! Everyone had a great time swimming!
Lexi got out for a little bit to have lunch and Aunt Bette Ann warmed her up a little with some warm water from the hot tub. Lexi thought that was pretty terrific!
Although Lexi made it quite clear that playing outside in the cold was not her thing... apparently being freezing to the point of blue-ish lips in the pool doesn't really bother her! She stayed in the entire time despite the occasional teeth chattering!
Some non-swimmers: Nana, Libby, Caroline and Laurelyn.
Greant Grandmom and Grant
Maaike had forgotten her baby doll at Aunt Bette Ann's house a few days before and was sooooo excited when Caroline brought it to the pool!
Reunited with her babydoll, "Maaike."
That evening we had Aunt, Uncle and cousins over for a quick dinner and birthday celebration!
Cousins: Bekah and Emma
Awww.... cousinly love!
...and some funny faces thrown in there!
Hannah had bought her brand new American Girl doll and many changes of clothes. Our 3 girls (Maaike, Lexi, Emma) had fun changing their new baby doll's clothes!
Smile, Sarah... even if Ben is going to jump on you at the last minute!
Happy 14th Birthday, Bekah! (on the 30th!)
The last day before heading back to NC, we went to Strasburg Railroad and took a little train ride.
And the sill Lexi face comes out in a "smile"
...and practicing her "frown", too!
The orange men! After our train ride, we went to inspect the front of the train and where they put the coal and all that fun stuff. Well, at one point he blew the whistle and Ben practically hugged Uncle Peter's leg off! He was so startled and he clung for dear life!
When we got back there was some good snow for the kids to play in! We put Lexi down for a nap (since snow is not her "thing") and Maaike stayed up with Ben to play outside with Daddy.
I finally remembered to get pictures of the buggies... all day they came by the house! It was fun to hear and see!
After Lexi woke up, we headed over to say goodbye to Great Grandmom with Aunt Laurelyn. It's only natural that Lexi dressed up for the occasion! (She actually wore her favorite dress up dress often every day!)
Goodbye, Lancaster!
