We had some special guests this weekend!
We went to pick them up after Ben got out of school on Friday and I told the kids we were going on a mystery trip (I'm creating kids who love surprises since I love them so much!!!) When we pulled up and the kids saw Neel and Suzi, they asked if that was the mystery! Oops... they thought we were going somewhere fun... not that we were picking up some fun people!
Well, the kids quickly got over their rather unexcited selves and had a fabulous afternoon at the park along with a fabulous weekend! We loved having them down for a visit!
We celebrated our Christmas!

Ben was super, super excited to get a lightsaber... as you can clearly see by his pose!
Maaike loved all of her dance gifts... a new dance bag, leotards, tights and accessories! She was so excited to go to dance on Tuesday with her bag. The girls can bring their bag with their shoes into the room so they don't have to come out for Moms to help them change from ballet to tap. It's quite the rite of passage and Maaike was all too happy to be Ms. Independent!
The kids were LOVING all the wrestling love from Uncle Neel!
He was even so loving as to hang Ben on our tree... the perfect ornament really!
They also wanted to get out the dreaded playdough mess. Neel and Suzi took one for the team and joined in (and spared me from having to participate)!
