June was a busy milestone month for Lexi! She started standing up without having to hold on to anything and took her first steps on June 18th at my mom's condo! Since then, she's taking more and more steps, but she definitely prefers to crawl around!

We were pretty busy in June! Not that that's any excuse to go more than a month without updating the blog but just sayin'...
Ben and Maaike are becoming better buddies and enemies every day! Here's a particularly cute buddy moment...

I wish I could have captured this picture accurately... it looks like the lights are on in Ben's room but they weren't. The only light on was the one in Ben's headlamp! We were sure Ben was awake still since we told him he could use his headlamp for a few minutes at bedtime to look at books.... He was just too tired though! (Poppy, great gift for Ben!)
We had a fun visit from our friends who moved to PA. Maaike and Carrington were born 2 days apart and they picked up where they left off! It was fun to see them interacting with each other. We went blueberry and blackberry picking while they were here!
Ben took swimming lessons again this summer and can I just say... FISH! He loved it! Last year, he cried for the first 3 days. Not this time! He was so into it! It was neat to see his growth and I loved seeing how much he enjoyed the lessons!
We spent a weekend at my mom's condo and had a blast! Lexi's face says it all!
She was very proud that she could stand up all by herself...
... but that only lasted for so long until.... GOING...

... GONE!
