The week of October 22, Dave attended a medical conference in Hilton Head. He left on Monday and we couldn't help but plan a little trip for the family! I took the kids down on Thursday afternoon and we had a great few days there!
The "heated" outdoor pool was definitely not too warm! It didn't stop the kids from going in it a little bit each day but they didn't last long. That was the biggest bummer of the whole trip. They were so excited to go swimming and they just ended up down a lot of shivering!
Brave Daddy got in for a little bit!
Warming up and getting her lips to turn pink again instead of blue :)
We visited the little petting zoo while we were there....
Dave gazing longingly...
Lexi feeding...
...and feeding...
... and feeding! It never got old for her!
This was Ben's favorite goat.... if you can see the hair you'll see why he cracked us all up.
A little playground time before dinner...
He's mastered the monkey bars!
I can't help but crack up for many reasons with this next picture! Dave was slightly annoyed when Ben took the hat off his head but it made for a great picture!
Lexi couldn't help but play with Dave's hat either!
Lexi insisted that Daddy do her hair! He's a great sport and is getting better! He hasn't mastered braids yet but give him a ponytail holder and he's good to go!
We didn't get any rain while we were there but the weather reports kept saying we may and there was a chance.... so we opted for indoor entertainment one morning and the kids had fun!
The beach is fun even if it's cold! It's especially exciting when you find a random tree to play with.
We rode our bikes every day.
Maaike insisted she wanted her bike also and that she'd keep up with us. She pleasantly surprised us! She peddled her little heart out and had a blast!
Fun sucking pops from Cindy and Lori that I brought with us for entertainment at some point!
On the way home... the sign of a great trip!!!!
